Harvest Tasting Today at Biofuel Oasis
Celebrate the Fall Harvest at Biofuel Oasis today from Noon – 5pm! I’ll have two harvest beers there for tasting: Blackberry Rye Wheat and Fresh Hop Rye IPA. The Blackberry Rye Wheat was made with fresh blackberries grown on a wild bush in my backyard. The Fresh Hop Rye IPA was made with Cascade hops also grown in my backyard and caramel malt that I roasted at home.

Workshop Coming Up
I’m teaching another workshop on November 16th. We’ll be brewing an all-grain 1 gallon batch of beer. In 3 hours I’ll show you the whole process, even through to bottling. Any beer you bottle, you can take home. Also, come thirsty because we’ll be tasting examples of the beer we’re brewing, both from commercial brewers and beer made at home.
Stovetop Brewing
Sunday, November 16, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Sticky Art Lab, 1682 University Ave (at McGee), Berkeley
Cost: $35 plus $5 materials fee

Now Drink Beer
Next Saturday I’ll be at Other Cinema with two beers on tap. Rick Prelinger’s will be bringing his audience-narrated Collective Memory event, “Lost Landscapes”, featuring amateur and industrial films from Detroit. In homage to Motor City I created a new beer, “Old Engine Oil”, a Smoked Black IPA, featuring hops from my backyard in Oakland. Plus I’ll have my Fresh Hop Rye IPA on tap, also made with my own backyard hops.
PSYCHO-GEOGRAPHY: PRELINGER’s YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW IN DETROIT
Saturday, October 4, 2014, 8:30 p.m., $8 admission
Location: Artists’ Television Access, 992 Valencia St. (at 21st) in San Francisco
